Sin embargo no se aprecia un tono especialmente lúgubre, si no que nos encontramos con trallazos de vitalidad en el sobrecogedor tema que da título al álbum: "Ain't No Grave". Por otra parte, el disco como los anteriores de la serie consta casi en su totalidad de temas firmados por otros artistas. En concreto "Redemption Day" de Sheryl Crow o "For The Good Times" de Kris Kristoferson por citar los más llamativos; eso además de un tema compuesto por el propio Cash "I Corinthians 15:55" en el que nos ofrece su propia visión de valentía frente a lo inminente de la llegada de la muerte. Destacable resulta también la aparición de "A Satisfied Mind", tema que ya pudimos escuchar en el segundo volumen de "Kill Bill" de Tarantino; y un tema curioso y llamativo por darle una vuelta a un nuevo estilo, como es el hawaiano, en la canción que cierra el disco, como es la simpática "Aloha Oe".
Poco más queda por decir. Se pone un nuevo ladrillo en la construcción del hombre de negro, ya convertido en mito. Seguirán apareciendo recopilatorios y discos que homenajeen su figura, y aunque muchos fans duden de que realmente esto sea lo último que quede, la temática y la presentación de este trabajo parece presentar las sesiones más próximas al fin del cantante, cuya obra al igual que este delicioso disco, seguiremos paladeando gustosamente.
